  • There are many social leagues with various levels of competition to enjoy any activities you like from kickball, to bowling, to basketball.

  • There are so many Food and Drink festivals. Examples include burger week, CRAVE Lexington, Pizza week.

  • Many food festivals and events such as The Night Market or the Thriller Halloween Dance/Parade where downtown Lexington is closed due to Zombies showing off their moves.

  • Keeneland and the Kentucky Horse Park are always great ways to enjoy The Bluegrass State.

  • There are twice as many barrels of bourbon in Kentucky than people! Find your favorite along the bourbon trail where you can view the distilleries and an array of their tasty products.

  • They don’t call it Red River Georgios for nothing! The Red River Gorge is a nationally known climbing location with great spots for camping, hiking, kayaking, or just throwing up a hammock.

  • There are 95 parks in Lexington, come find your favorite.

  • Owned by a local pediatrician, Chrisman Mill Vineyards & Winery, along with the Residency Programs hosts all Pediatric interns, residents, attendings and their families in June as part of intern orientation. This is a special time to relax and mingle in the stress-free and beautiful Kentucky countryside before the rigors of a new academic year begin.
